Every piece of technology has the potential to change a life

The Carolina Digital Access Coalition refurbishes donated computer equipment and redistributes it to students, learners, and communities without reliable access to technology. We believe functional hardware shouldn't end up in landfills when it could end up in hands. Based in Charlotte, NC, we accept equipment donations regionally and nationwide.

Our Process

  • Secure data wiping (DOD 5220.22-M standard)
  • Hardware diagnostics and repair
  • Operating system installation
  • Quality testing and verification
  • Distribution to qualified recipients

January 15, 2026
Received a donation of 12 ThinkPad T440s laptops from Gaston County Schools. These devices are currently undergoing secure data wiping and diagnostics testing before being refurbished for distribution.
January 3, 2026
Successfully refurbished and deployed 8 Dell Latitude E7450 systems with Xubuntu 22.04 LTS. These computers are now available for qualified requests from community organizations and individuals in need.
December 20, 2025
Announced new partnership with Carolina Pride Recycling to improve equipment pickup logistics across the Charlotte metropolitan area. This collaboration will help us serve more donors efficiently.
December 8, 2025
Delivered 15 refurbished computers to the West Charlotte Community Learning Center. Feedback from students and instructors has been overwhelmingly positive.
